- You'll want to keep this book handy if you are a painter or just wondering if you have what it takes to take up painting. Dustan shares her approach to creating lively, expressive pictures in watercolors and acrylics. There are step by step instructions and, more importantly for me, she expresses her engagement with the joy and discovery in making a painting. The paintings are beautiful. I look through this book on darkish days just to get a reminder of lighter days. And sometimes I pick it up to get some inspiration for my next painting.
- Not only is she an accomplished artist, her work is stunning and speaks to me, but the way she writes pulled me in and I enjoyed reading her process as if I was there next to her. Very informative and inspirational! Highly recommended!!
(I read the version but will order the book, as I often do with books I really enjoy.) - This is more a "how I do it" book than a "how to do it" book. I got some good ideas, but it wasn't what I was really looking for.

- Just received Dustan's book today. I will enjoy it so. Read it this winter with a cup of tea. All her positive energy has been captured in this book. I love the two pictures (one on the back) and one inside with Dusty's hands covered in paint. Such a talent we are very fortunate to have here on the Seacoast of NH
- Disappointing
- The book is beautifully written and very unique in providing the reader with insight into the artist's creative thought process. It is chock-full of tips and techniques and workshop -like instruction which can be followed step-by-step to produce a number of original paintings.
- Loved this book and glad I got this one physically instead of on kindle. Its a great resource book to have in your art studio.
