- Another clear winner for Lucia Ashta. This book is a companion to her Magical Arts Academy series. The children who attend the MCA are all shifters or vampires. That is why Tina is so surprised when she receives a letter of acceptance. She just turned 18 and did not shift. But, the Academy accepted her, so she and her brother (a rare mountain lion shifter) go there. The dean is none other than Lancelot (the owl from the MMA). Thus begins a new series of adventures with unusual friends (a skunk and a tree!!! shifter) plus the unexpected hot Fae prince. There are plenty of laughs and thrills in this book and I'm sure, as the series progresses, that there are more thrills to come.
- This book is a good beginning to a new series. There's decent world building, although I was frustrated by Rina's ignorance considering how badly she wanted to go to the Academy. I understood her reasoning, but it still bugged me. I'm looking forward to the next book.
- From the very start I was enthralled with Night Shifter. The environment created, character development, and an action storyline kept me turning the pages in one sitting until I finished the book. There are intriguing questions that will hopefully be answered in the next book(s) and I can't wait to find out! Well done Lucia Ashta, very well done!
- LucÃa's world is so imaginative, and full of life and color.
You follow the main character, Rina, and learn about her. Or learn what you can in the course of the first school term. She's fun =D And turns out to be a little feisty. I am thoroughly anticipating the next book! I NEED to see what happens! The story is that captivating. - This was my first book by this author, and her story sucked me right in! I am so intrigued and cannot wait for book two!! This is NOT your typical shifter story!!
