I think this is a great idea. Two Chinese speaking friends. One really likes it and the other is not so motivated. It makes much sense to me. I was studying Mandarin, and I can't imagine making progress with a teacher who didn't speak English.
Very easy to follow and the audio helps alot
The 3 CDs are very useful as they repeat a sentence 3 times with enough silent time in between for you to repeat after them by yourself. I got it for my Dad who is learning beginner English as he is a native Chinese speaker. He likes these CDs and the accompanying book
Bought this for my mom who recently retired. She got by raising us kiddos with broken basic English and I thought this could continue to stimulate her mentally post retirement. Unfortunately, it is simplified Chinese. My parents are from Hong Kong (traditional Chinese text) and cannot read simplified Chinese.
Very nice system but it is cds and I thought it was a book
